I know that moment because I’ve lived it. On the floor of my bedroom. In the parking lot of my therapist’s office. In the shower, crying quietly so my kids wouldn’t hear.
I’m Eva, founder of Faith & Flow, and I’m a mom of four, a woman who walked through divorce, broken relationships, and years of not knowing who I was outside of my mistakes. God found me in all of it — slowly, lovingly, verse by verse.
This post is a gift from me to you: 50 Bible verses for women, organized by the themes that have meant the most to me personally — strength, identity, healing, self-love, and faith in hard times. I’ve added a short reflection to each theme, because I believe Scripture is most powerful when it lands in the context of a real woman’s life.

Part 1: Bible Verses for Women on Strength
Before I knew God, I thought strength meant never falling apart. Now I know it means getting up again — and knowing Whose hand helps you rise.
These are the scriptures I return to when I feel depleted, overwhelmed, or like I simply cannot do one more thing.
1. Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
2. Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
3. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
4. Psalm 46:5 “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
5. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
6. Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
7. Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”
8. Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
9. Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
10. Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Part 2: Bible Verses About Women’s Identity in Christ
One of the deepest wounds I carried for years wasn’t visible. It was the wound of not knowing who I was. I had defined myself by my relationships, my failures, my roles. God had to dismantle all of that to show me who He actually made me to be.
These Bible verses about identity in Christ are the ones that rebuilt me from the inside out.
11. Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
12. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
13. 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession.”
14. Romans 8:16 “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
15. Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
16. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
17. John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
18. Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
19. Colossians 3:12 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
20. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Part 3: Healing Scriptures for Women
Healing isn’t linear. I thought I would heal from my divorce, from the emptiness, from the shame — in a straight line. But God heals us like layers, one season at a time, one truth at a time. And He is gentle with every layer.
If you are in a season of healing right now — from a broken relationship, a lost identity, grief, trauma, or just the accumulated weight of years — these healing scriptures are for you.
21. Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
22. Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
23. Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
24. Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.”
25. Isaiah 61:3 “…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
26. Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
27. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
28. 2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
29. Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
30. 1 Peter 5:10 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
Part 4: Bible Verses on Self-Love and Worth
For most of my life, I thought self-love was selfish. I thought putting myself last was what a good woman, a good mother, a good Christian did. God had to teach me — gently and firmly — that I cannot pour from an empty vessel. That loving myself as His creation is an act of worship, not selfishness.
These are the scriptures that gave me permission to value who God made me.
31. Song of Solomon 4:7 “You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.”
32. Psalm 139:17-18 “How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!”
33. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
34. 1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
35. Proverbs 31:29-30 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
36. Luke 12:7 “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
37. Ephesians 3:17-19 “…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power… to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
38. Psalm 16:11 “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.”
39. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
40. Romans 8:39 “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Part 5: Bible Verses for Women in Hard Times — Faith When Everything Feels Uncertain
This last section is the one that lives closest to my heart. Because it was in the hardest moments — the moments I didn’t think I would survive — that God’s Word became more than words. It became an anchor.
These are the Bible verses for hard times that held me when I had nothing left to hold on to. They are for you if you’re walking through something that feels like it might swallow you whole.
41. Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
42. Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.”

43. Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”

45. John 16:33 “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
46. Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
47. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind.”
48. Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
49. Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
50. Psalm 62:8 “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

How to Let These Verses Actually Change You
Reading 50 Bible verses is a good start. But transformation happens in the dwelling — in the returning, the praying, the writing.
Here’s what I suggest:
1. Pick one verse from each section that felt like it was written specifically for you. Write those 5 down somewhere you’ll see them daily.
